Biography
Jay Whittaker (1968 - ) grew up in Nottingham. She read English at Leeds University, and has lived and worked in London, Birmingham and for the last ten years, Edinburgh. Her first poetry collection, Pearl, was published by Selkirk Lapwing Press in 2005. An ice house, a short-short, was a prize winner in the BBC 2004 London Book Fair competition. She is working on the umpteenth draft of a novel.
